New Documents Regarding Township - Abrahams Garage Lease

Two new documents have been received and have been added to the timeline of the steps leading to the lease of Fred Abraham's garage space to Granville Township. These documents are now available in the story below.


1) August 22, 2007:  The Township agreed to pay $2,300 per month when it originally approved the contract with Abraham at its August 22, 2007 meeting. Click here to view the Township meeting minutes.

2) NEW: August 22, 2007:  The signed lease amendment between Abraham and the Township agreeing to a five-year extension with an increase in rent.. Click here to view the Lease Amendment.

3) September 24, 2007:  Letter from the Licking County Prosecuting Attorney Kenneth Oswalt requesting an opinion from the Ohio Ethics Commission and the Ohio Attorney General regarding Trustee Candidate Fred Abraham’s lease of garage space to Granville Township. Click here to view the letter.

4) September 27, 2007:  Reply to Oswalt from the Ohio Ethics Commission. Click here to view the letter.

5) September 28, 2007:  Reply to Oswalt from the Ohio Attorney General’s office. Click here to view the letter.

6) December 13, 2007:  Ohio Attorney General’s opinion. Click here to view the opinion.

7) NEW: December 31, 2007:  Letter signed by Fred Abraham voiding the lease extension. Click here to view the letter.

8) December 31, 2007:  Trustee Elect Abraham leases his garage space to Guy Manos for $2,200 per month. Manos was Abraham's election campaign treasurer. Click here to view the lease.

9) December 31, 2007:  Guy Manos leases the garage space to Granville Township for $2,300 per month thereby earning a $100 per month profit. Click here to view the lease.

10) January 14, 2008:  Letter from Oswalt to the Ohio Attorney General requesting a follow-up opinion on the deal whereby Abraham leases to Manos and then Manos leases to the Township. Click here to view the letter.
