Council Will Set Gateway District Ordinance For Public Hearing

The Village staff has recommended to the Village Council that the new Gateway District ordinance should be set for a public hearing on June 18, 2008. Alison Terry, the Village Planner, has also suggested some additional architectural styles to be added to the law. Color photographs of  all styles in the ordinance can be viewed in this story. Council will consider this matter at its next meeting on June 4, at 7:30 pm.

In a memo to Council, Village Manager, Don Holycross said, "As a follow-up to the discussion at the last Council meeting concerning the draft provisions for the Village Gateway District, Alison Terry will provide visual displays comparing development that has lot coverage of 70% with development that has 50% coverage."
