Lyle McClow Appointed To The Planning Commission

The Village Council appointed Lyle McClow of 629 Burg Street to a one-year term on the Planning Commission during its meeting Wednesday, May 7, 2008. McClow had previously applied for the position and was subsequently suggested by the Granville School Board. According to Granville's Charter, the School Board makes a yearly appointment to the Planning Commission that must be ratified by Village Council.

McClow, in answering what he thought was one of Granville's worst development decisions, said, "Park Trails Development, current Denison expansion (design), businesses with little generating tax revenue (Wendy's, etc.)." He went on to point out he realized some problems are Township issues.
