Taco Dan
Submitted by presshound on Tue, 06/29/2010 - 21:49Can you believe they are letting a Chinese place open on Broadway. I think money speaks in this town. I wonder who owns that building? The new place is the same as Dragon Village on Main St. in Pataskala. tel-740-927-8666. 9317 Columbia (main st.) Rd. SW. The food is pretty good but not as good as the Double Dragon In Reynoldsburg.

A balanced life or a centered life
Submitted by Christopher_Hawkins on Mon, 02/01/2010 - 20:19We’ve all heard about the need to have a balanced life. I’ve thought a bit about this and am not clear this is the best approach.

Best political interviewer on TV?
Submitted by Christopher_Hawkins on Mon, 02/01/2010 - 19:25Criteria
- Who does he/she interview?
- Do they ask the right questions?
- Do they follow up if the interviewee ducks the question or gives an misleading response?
My response? John Stewart. When your best interviewer is on Comedy Central, you know the major media outlets have failed.

Have you ever thought deeply about Free Will?
Submitted by Christopher_Hawkins on Fri, 12/18/2009 - 20:23I have and it is enough to send you to the funny farm. Do you believe in Free Will? Why or why not? If we don’t have free will, then you could believe in it or not and not even be aware that you had no choice. Strange.

Is belief a choice?
Submitted by Christopher_Hawkins on Fri, 12/18/2009 - 20:18I don’t think so. You can select your sources of information / wisdom and this willl influence your beliefs, but the actual "What do I believe?" seems beyond choice.
If I’m right, what are the implications? Other comments?

Tree Trimming
Submitted by BIGSAW on Fri, 12/18/2009 - 18:59 The Village manager can not tell A.E.P how to trim where or why,
the last i knew A.E.P has a 50 year right of way agreement with Granville
to trim, cut down or do whatever they feel necessary, they could take the 45
foot christmas tree and turn it into a Charlie brown christmas tree if it’s in the

Christmas Tree Excess
Submitted by BALLUS FICTIOUS on Sun, 10/18/2009 - 19:56I am sure this will not sit well with some here in Granville but personally I do not like the Trees running down South Main St. They have come and marked out the utilities so the 4x4 poles can be dug into the ground to support the electrical wires. The markers, posts, and wires take away more than the trees add. Plus it is all just a big waste of money.

Dan Rogers
Submitted by presshound on Tue, 08/18/2009 - 09:12Dan Rogers has done so much for this community. I do not know why the village of Granville always gives him such a hard time? He fixed up his home much better than anyone else around. Look at the amount of detail he put into his home. He is now tring to improve Granville even further by opening up a taco stand. I think it is a great idea. We need more food variety in Granville.

Thank Jack
Submitted by askquestions on Thu, 03/19/2009 - 10:59I may not have agreed with all of your content, the slant you gave some articles, or the way you encouraged heated debate, but I appreciated your passion and willingness to follow your dreams. Your work on the Granville Press, help for the senior population and your work at the school will also be appreciated. Thank you and bless you.
